I used KD recently for 3 new carpets and for a Karndean floor in the kitchen. The whole process was great from sales (Garry) through to fitting. Highly recommended!

KD Carpets have done an amazing job and were so helpful! My house has such uneven steps but they were able to find a way to make it work and the result is amazing! They were friendly from start to finish and I couldnt have asked for a better service.

There are lots of carpet/flooring shops who are polite and offer good customer service. This isnt one of them! They were friendly enough when I paid but it all changed when there was a small issue. The manager was very agressive- dont use this company. There are lots of better ones in the area.

From start to finish the experience and quality of service was great and really thrilled with the carpet

Don't use, might be cheap - I'm not sure. We wanted to use a local company to fit our carpets, but what a disaster.Paid in full upfront for a full house worth of carpet.Advised that moving furniture wasn't an issue. Was also advised to save myself some money and uplift the carpets myself.Came to the day before fitting and I called to explain that I hadn't managed to finish the carpet removal as I had to go into work and take our little girl to the Drs and asked if we could reschedule, or pay the 200 for the uplift of the carpet.I was advised at this point that I should just ask the fitter in the morning to take up the carpets and he would charge me much less than 200 and they could still go ahead with the fitting. And that they would turn a blind eye to it - at this point I assumed the fitters were simply contracted in and likely self employed.Fitter turned up in the morning and walked off the job as the carpets were still down... We had also sold all our furniture in the living room and bedroom to make it easier for them and had scheduled for new furniture to be deliver a day after the fitting. So at this point we were left with furniture pushed to one side of the room where we still had furniture, two large empty rooms and carpets uplifted in the entrance, bedroom and landing that I had managed to get round to doing - the joys of two young children!KD were in fact very disappointed with the fitter that walked of the job and said he could be a 'bit funny' and they wouldn't use him again... - wondering why they sent him in the first place. In fairness KD did try to rectify the issue by getting another fitter in, who was great and single handily removed the remaining carpets and fit the new ones with a bad back. The fitter also took some cash to uplift the remaining carpets, which were happy to give him!It did take much longer than anticipated and the house was in disarray for the best part of a week with us also having to reschedule and juggle furniture.Once the job was complete, I decided that it wasn't worth the hassle or stress in complaining. It was only when I came to check my bank account that I could see they had taken 160 out of my account a week after the carpets. This really concerned me - I hadn't given any authorisation for this transaction, I had no idea what is was for and wasn't even aware that KD had stored my card details.I called today to discuss this with them and my first questions was simply asking what it was for. They had decided to charge me 160 for the uplift of the carpets - that I had already paid the fitter directly for as advised by KD. Upon further questioning of how they in fact did charge my card when they claimed to have destroyed my card details once the job was complete and they had no answers for why they had taken this transaction without my consent or knowledge. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone asked if I had an answer message - which I explained I didn't and wouldn't be good enough anyway. The gentleman then went on to accuse me that this whole mess was in fact my fault for not uplifting the carpets - which I was advised to do after stating I was originally happy to pay them to do it! And I called to explain I hadn't taken them all up in time and their solution was for the fitter to do it who then walked off the job.I have had no apology for being messed about in the first place, no apology for taking money without my consent and they can't even be arsed to refund the money themselves, I'm having to call my bank to see if I can reverse the transaction myself. In the first instance - when selling me something, it was all 'no problem', 'we do this day in day out', 'we'll look after you' - all false promises, I'd of been better off elsewhere I'm sure, and I resent the fact I've had to waste my time writing this after trying to make life easier for them. I am sure they do have jobs that go smoothly, this didn't and the way they've handled it since fitting has been awful.
